Forum Email Notifications?
I don’t appear to be getting Email Notifications when people post to this forum, is this working for others?
Everything is set to Yes under Settings>Email but I don’t see anything for new posts??

is there any way to prevent Konect app from activating idle mode while using the GPS? like when you use google maps app for navigation the tablet doesn’t lock screen but when using Konect app for navigation it does. we are unable to disable the idle screen lock per app and it must be on due to IT policy. so using the Konect app to navigate with…Read More

HI Shaun. The konect app in this instance is restricted by the smartphone settings. If IT are unable to increase the timeout setting, the best option (if coverage exists) would be to use the “Open Directions” navigation service from Konect if possible. This will open google maps navigation to a location which exists in Konect.

not really viable to keep switching back and forth between apps. you also lose the ability to see reference data in Konect while navigating in external app. how come google maps / apple maps navigation, playing a video or even certain games prevents the screen from locking isn’t there a way Konect app could be made to do the same? looks like there…Read More

Is there a way to force photos to export as landscape rather than portrait?
Especially given the lat/long and date/time data being displayed, it looks ugly if I simply rotate the photos into landscape mode after export.7 Comments-

Photo orientation is controlled by the user at the time of capture, so both portrait and landscape will present correctly with the appropriate footer overlay. If the image has been collected using the incorrect orientation there is no capacity to modify this after it has been committed to the database. I would suggest exporting those images that…Read More

That is the case when using my iphone but not when using my android tablet.
On the tablet, I checked in just the camera app and it is recognising landscape vs portrait but in Konect it is not. Is there a setting I can check on Konect — there does not seem to be one for the camera app itself.-

Hi Connor, Konect simply reads the EXIF data supplied by the camera application on your device. In your case it appears that the EXIF data is not standard and cannot be interpreted by Konect. There are no settings available in Konect to override this, so I think you will need to use a work around to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the info John. These are Galaxy Tab A9+ devices, I wouldn’t think anything would be unusual. When I enabled screen rotation (lock was default) it was forcing the photos into landscape mode for me.

Connor, Konect does not allow modification of the default settings, so no you can’t modify the text size. An alternative for you may be to use an alternative camera driver on the Galaxy Tab.
