NOTIFICATIONS – my client wants to receive automated notifications of particular data events. The Konect User Guide (4.7.1) shows how to send a text to users. Is there a way to send data-driven alerts? (alternative is to do it in Power BI).

Sure – the client operates a fleet of machinery to carry out field tasks. There’s a variety of forms relating to tasks, staff and machines. You can run a routine report, say weekly, to plan servicing, but let’s say a machine breaks down and needs repair. This is recorded on the form and should trigger an alert to the workshop.

@mattgbm or others, any update on this? Could an alert be created in the API? It can be done in Power BI, but my client has not set this up yet.

We have settled on using the API and a Python script in conjunction with a messaging service like Twilio. This is being done in one Konect instance we are aware of, using Power Automate.

I’d like more options for Map Styles.
Specifically, I think the requirement to have a list be used for the Style column is too restrictive.I’d like to be able to do styles by date or range.

While you can only have pseudo thematics based on list values, there is a work around using queries and individual styles.
